We try to spend some of our time thinking about the beneficial effect we can have on the society around us. When we were asked to develop a charity 10k run logo, for example, the obvious next step was to get in training for the event. And its successor. Now we’re hooked (see the photos on our Flickr feed for proof). We’ve also undertaken Midnight Walks for the East Cheshire Hospice, and hope to put together a celebrity event for them later in 2011.
In 2010, The Sixteen became the Bridgewater Hall’s first Artist in residence, and to celebrate our long connection with choral music we were delighted to become their first Corporate Partner. That night out with Sir Harry Christophers will live long in the memory.
And just to show that it’s not all champagne and salmon sandwiches, we’ve also sponsored one of England’s brightest young rugby stars since 2009. James Gaskell, who broke into the Sale Sharks first team at the age of just 19, has a stellar future ahead of him. Currently part of the England Saxons squad, he’s made us very proud indeed to have been part of his development. Latest news on his progress here.
